Data Fields

Select Location
If the location has been previously licensed under this call sign to the applicant by the FCC, its FCC-assigned location number will appear in the Select Location list. To modify or delete an antenna, first select the antenna's location from the Select Location list. The system will display the antennas currently registered for that location in the Select Antenna list.

Select Antenna
When you select a location from the Select Location list, the system displays the antennas currently registered for that location. Antennas are listed by their FCC-assigned antenna numbers. You may select antennas from this list for modification and deletion.

If you are adding a new antenna, the system will automatically assign an official number to the new antenna, which will appear on the Authorization. After saving a newly-added antenna, it will appear in the Select Antenna list.

Action

Height to Tip AGL (meters)
Enter the actual height to the tip of the antenna. Enter this item in meters, rounded to the nearest tenth.

Height of Center of Radiation AAT (meters)
Enter the average radiation center height above average terrain of the eight cardinal radials. Enter this item in meters, rounded to the nearest tenth.

Beamwidth of Main Lobe (degrees)
Enter the beamwidth of the main lobe of a directional antenna used with a fixed station. Fixed stations only.

Gain (dB)
Enter the ratio (decibels) of the power required at the input of loss-free reference antenna to the power supplied to the input of the given antenna to produce, in a given direction, the same field strength or the same power-flux density at the same distance. This information should be available from the specification sheet included with the antenna at the time of purchase.

Azimuth (degrees)
Enter the angle in the horizontal plane of the transmitting antenna main lobe measured clockwise with respect to True North in degrees, or enter 360 to indicate that the transmitting antenna is omni-directional.
